Description:
I wanted to design a game that would be casual and fun, but also incorporate deep enough mechanics for more intense board game enthusiasts. My favorite part about this project was not the visual design, but instead it was the game design. I spent a lot of time with my friends stress-testing different versions of this game, and in the end our playtesting ended up informing a good chunk of the visuals. For instance, the gameplay itself was shifting and frantic at times, and cold and strategic at others, which informed the cyan and yellow psychedelic pattern motif present in some of the componenets.
